SOH Time
SOH Time participants attend three days of ambassador training for peer-to-peer support for Black Women Living Positively.
Experts and participants work to promote well-being by building relationships. The strategies taught are applied life skills that support healing from adversity. In addition, attendees enjoy self-care activities on the lovely Wrightsville Beach.
SOH Time is a signature program of SEEDS of Healing, Inc., established during the COVID-19 pandemic to maintain connection, support, and continuity of care for Black women living with HIV. The program creates a global, virtual community that brings together Black women with an HIV diagnosis to share experiences, build resilience, and reduce isolation.
Peer-led and community-centered, SOH Time offers a series of engaging sessions that include support groups, facilitated discussions, and opportunities to connect with experts in HIV care and the health of Black women. The program also provides tangible tools and resources to support adherence to HIV medication and promote positive health behaviors.
The platform is moderated by Black women who are meaningfully involved in HIV/AIDS advocacy, ensuring that conversations are culturally responsive, affirming, and rooted in lived experience. Through this approach, SOH Time works to confront HIV-related stigma, empower participants, and contribute to the broader effort to End the HIV Epidemic.
